- Salary: $78,624 - $98,280 plus annual target bonus
If you enjoy our products, you'll really enjoy being a part of our team! Position Responsibilities: - Conduct microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, water, environmental monitoring samples, and other laboratory specimens
- Ensure testing is performed according to approved methods, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements
- Review, interpret, and approve microbiological test results
- Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results, deviations, and contamination events
- Maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, and testing supplies
- Collect microbiological sampling of beverages, syrups, raw materials, and sanitation effectiveness swabbing by utilizing Aseptic Technique to prevent sample contamination
- Ability to work in laboratory and manufacturing environments
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds as needed
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Other projects or duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Food Science, or a related scientific discipline with 4 to 6 years of related experience or High School Diploma/General Education Degree and 7 to 9 plus years of specific experience
- Microbiology laboratory experience
- Experience in food manufacturing, beverage production, Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related industries
- Strong knowledge of microbiological testing techniques and laboratory practices
- Understanding of GMP, GLP, HACCP, FDA, USDA, and ISO standards
Experience with environmental monitoring programs
Preferred Education and Experience: - Bachelor's Degree
- Food & Beverage industry experience
- HACCP/PCQI Certification
- Microbiologist Certification
- 2 plus years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
