Job Description

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – Medical Director
Lead. Innovate. Transform.

Looking for a CRNP-PMH who is comfortable seeing clients of all ages and is well versed and comfortable with the community mental health culture.

Are you a passionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner ready to step into a leadership role? We are seeking a dynamic  Medical Director to lead and elevate care at our established community mental health center—serving children, adolescents, and adults across clinic, school, and community-based settings.

In this role, you won’t just provide care—you’ll  set the standard . You’ll guide a multidisciplinary team, influence clinical programming, and help expand access to high-quality, evidence-based mental health services for underserved populations. This is a unique opportunity to blend  direct patient care with leadership , allowing you to make both immediate and long-term impact.

Our ideal candidate would be comfortable treating all ages. We are looking for someone with prior experience independently prescribing medication and someone who is comfortable jumping into a very fast paced environment that requires multitasking patient visits with paperwork, refills, phone calls, and other associated tasks related to client care. An understanding of the community mental health culture is a must! This position involves seeing mobile treatment clients in the community as well as clients in our office based clinic. This can be a hybrid position with the possibility of some time being remote.

If you are someone who is committed to joining with clients on their journeys to wellness, to doing “gold standard” clinical work, and to bringing a positive and sometimes humorous attitude to our work environment then please consider applying! It is an added bonus if you are looking for a place where you can lay down your professional roots. Our team is a cohesive group of professionals who value forming strong relationships within our team and with our clients. Our agency is located in a warm and collaborative office setting with a multidisciplinary staff located in Northwest Baltimore County in the historic Glyndon area.

We are seeking a CRNP-PMH licensed in Maryland.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management
  • Serve as clinical leader and mentor to therapists and support staff
  • Oversee and enhance clinical quality, protocols, and compliance
  • Collaborate with leadership on program development and growth
  • Support community outreach and integrated care initiatives

What We’re Looking For:

  • Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
  • Active (or eligible) state license
  • Strong clinical judgment with a passion for community-based care
  • Leadership experience or readiness to step into a leadership role
  • Commitment to compassionate, culturally responsive care
  • A non judgmental, strengths based approach to working with all clients
  • An even demeanor throughout the ups and downs
  • A true partnership. This position is all about the right fit!
  • Knowledge of psychotropic medications.
  • Self guided determination to complete your notes, return calls, and complete refills, inside of 24 hours
  • Strong character matters - integrity, honesty, adaptability and quality of care to name a few
  • Passionate clinician with engaging interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills
  • Full-time position

Why Join Us:

  • Meaningful work with real community impact
  • Leadership autonomy with the ability to shape programs
  • Flexible, supportive work environment
  • Competitive compensation + comprehensive benefits
  • Opportunities for growth, innovation, and influence
  • We credential you!
  • Support team for scheduling and client service
  • Autonomy but with access to case consultation groups and an open door atmosphere with peers and administrators.
  • Amazing team culture and clinical support
  • Cohesive group proud of what we do!

If you’re ready to move beyond traditional practice and take on a role where your voice, leadership, and expertise matter—we’d love to connect.
